Police seek suspect in Dollar General robbery
The public’s assistance is being sought to identify a man police say stole $300 in cash from the register of a local store.
According to Cranston Police, the man entered the Dollar General location on Broad Street at approximately 11:30 p.m. on April 5 and walked to the register as if to make a purchase. When the clerk opened the register, police say, the man reached over the counter and grabbed cash before fleeing the scene on foot heading toward Providence.
Anyone with information regarding the man’s identity is asked to contact Detective Joseph Hopkins at 477-5065. Police say tips may also be submitted through the department’s website, cranstonpoliceri.com, or by calling its main line at 942-2211.
Women sought in Sephora theft
Two women are being sought in connection with the theft of a large quantity of women’s fragrances from the Sephora location in Garden City Center, according to police.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Cranston Police indicate that the women – described as being between 25 and 35 years of age – entered the store and took the items in question on March 26.
Anyone with information regarding the identity or location of the women is asked to contact Detective Robert Lindsay at 477-5142. Police say tips may also be submitted through the department’s website, cranstonpoliceri.com, or by calling its main line at 942-2211.
