To the Editor:
Rhode Island has made huge strides in recent years to expand investments in the state pre-K program and the results speak for themselves. During her first term, Governor Raimondo doubled the state's financial investment in public pre-K, which tripled enrollment. However we can't stop there. More needs to be done to give all children in Rhode Island, regardless of their zip code, the opportunity to succeed. Investments in pre-K pay off down the road with higher high-school graduation rates, higher educational attainment levels, increased lifetime earnings and reduced crime. As an advocate and a resident of Cranston, I'm proud to support Governor Raimondo's call to further expand education access for all children. Let's continue to invest together in our children education today to ensure a thriving future for them and our State. I hope the General Assembly makes the governor's vision for universal pre-K a reality in Rhode Island.

I don't want Universal Pre-K or All Day Kindergarten. I took care of my kids during that time of their lives. We did day trips around our state and nearby Mass. and Conn.
If you don't want to be parents don't have kids. Don't expect the "State" to parent your kids.
