The Rhode Island Nursery & Landscape Association will hold an orientation meeting for its new Green Collar Job Match Program Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Building Futures, 1 Acorn St., Providence.

This job matching program can lead to rewarding employment in RI's agriculture and plant-based industries. Participants will learn about career options and job openings with RINLA member companies throughout Rhode Island and have the opportunity to register to participate in hands-on work days and a job matchmaking event where they will meet potential employers. To register for the orientation meeting, email workforce@rinla.org or call 874-5220.

Founded in 1919, the Rhode Island Nursery & Landscape Association, which represents a $2.5 billion industry in Rhode Island, is one of the leading voices throughout the state and the region regarding integrated resilience and innovation, climate change and green-blue infrastructure. RINLA's green industry members include nurseries, landscape contractors, arborists, green engineers, masons, garden centers, landscape architects, landscape designers, fruit/vegetable growers, compost/mulch manufacturers, suppliers and allied businesses. RINLA members are professionals who take pride in their work and uphold the highest standards in horticulture, environmental practices, agriculture and landscape businesses. RINLA also is dedicated to the development and implementation of programs that will increase capacity and contribute to the well-being of Rhode Island's communities and environment.
