Twenty-six Rhode Island College student-athletes were named to the 2019 Little East Conference Spring All-Academic team for their respective performances in the classroom this year.
Student-athletes earned recognition on the all-academic teams based on the following criteria: at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing and a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.3. The conference office honored student-athletes in the following sports: men’s and women’s outdoor track & field, baseball, softball, men’s tennis and men’s and women’s lacrosse.
WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Junior Jamie Dobson (Bradford, RI), junior Analise England (Smithfield, RI), senior Eleni Grammas (Cranston, RI), senior Nicole Grammas (Cranston, RI), senior Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, RI), sophomore Melissa Mejia (Providence, RI), sophomore Bryana Mullin (Warwick, RI), junior Jacklyn Xavier (Cumberland, RI) and senior Oluwafunmibi Yusuff (Providence, RI).
BASEBALL: Senior Tyler Calabro (Cumberland, RI), sophomore Will Roberge (Warwick, RI), junior Ryan Rotondo (Warwick, RI) and junior Mike Webb (Pawtucket, RI).
SOFTBALL: Junior Kelsey Burgess (North Providence, RI), junior Shaelyn DaSilveira (Seekonk, MA), sophomore Erica Fluskey (Trumbull, CT), senior Briana Gough (West Warwick, RI) and sophomore Deirdre McDonald (Saunderstown, RI).
MEN’S TENNIS: Sophomores Alex Bourque (North Smithfield, RI) and Ethan Hoy (West Warwick, RI).
MEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Junior Joseph Palazzo (Providence, RI) and senior Adam Stomberg (West Greenwich, RI).
WOMEN’S LACROSSE: Sophomore Sydney Homan (Tiverton, RI), junior Angie Leonardo (East Providence, RI), junior Alexia Peloquin (Cranston, RI) and sophomore Giana Ritchie (Cumberland, RI).
