The Simple Greek is a new restaurant recently opened up in the new building in Garden City, located between Newport Creamery and Bank of America. It serves Greek food, from pitas to bowls to baklava, in a cafeteria style, similar to the way you’d order at Chipotle. This is the third Simple Greek opened up by owners Tony DeSisto, Mike Sties and Lisa Hardiman, the others being in East Providence and Orlando, Florida. There are 24 Simple Greek restaurants around the country. There are 30 employees at this one, about half of which are part time. There is seating both inside and out at the 111 Hillside Dr. location. On Tuesday, the owners cut the ribbon with Mayor Allan Fung and Garden City General Manager Joe Koeschel. (Herald photo by Steve Popiel)
