ArtsFest 2019, a month-long display of hundreds of pieces of artwork at the Cranston Public Library’s Central Library, showcased the talents of Cranston Public Schools student artists.
Art educators from across the city chose a sampling of their students’ work for display in the gallery. The pieces represented a range of media, from pen and ink to paint and sculpture. The artists ranged in age from kindergarten through grade 12, and students from every Cranston public school were represented.
On April 10, the district hosted a gallery night at the library for the artists and their friends, family and educators. Many of the pieces on display were showcased during the Scholastic Key Art Awards ceremony and gallery event earlier this year.
