The nonprofit Esperanza-Hope organization, in partnership with the nonprofit organization Lights & Sirens International, recently hosted the “Adopt a Family for Christmas” program. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the organizations were able to adopt 15 disadvantaged families across Rhode Island, including Cranston, East Providence, Central Falls, Pawtucket, Woonsocket and Warren. The families – a total of 45 people – each received Christmas presents, food baskets and gifts cards or certificates. The presents were delivered to the families on Sunday, Dec. 22.
