Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Garden City Center celebrated National Flip Flop Day on June 14, providing free 16-ounce Sunshine Smoothies to anyone who arrived wearing flip flops. The promotion – which featured fruit mascots – was part of a fundraising effort for Camp Sunshine in Maine, which supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
