New Job Lot gets warm welcome

Ocean State Job Lot celebrated the grand opening of its new Cranston store, located at the former Benny’s at 148 Atwood Ave., with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 1. The new store is Job Lot’s second Cranston location, joining the store at 1441 Elmwood Ave. The grand opening included a donation of $500 to the OSJL Charitable Foundation’s “Close to Our Heart” recipient, the Jaxon Marocco Foundation. A pallet of food was donated to Comprehensive Community Action Program and an entire tractor-trailer truck of food was donated to the Rhode Island Food Bank. David Sarlitto, Mike Chalifoux and Eric Gagner represented Job Lot at the event, and civic leaders in attendance included Mayor Allan Fung, Sen. Hanna Gallo, Rep. Christopher Millea, Rep. Robert Jacquard; City Council President Michael Farina, Cranston Police Maj Todd Patalano and City Council members Paul McAuley, Christopher Paplauskas, Ken Hopkins and Michael Favicchio. DONATION FOR JAXON:

During the grand opening, Ocean State Job Lot made a charitable donation to the Jaxon Marocco Foundation. Pictured is David Sarlitto, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation executive director, and Steve Marocco, who was there on behalf of the foundation to receive a check in the amount of $500.
