This past Sunday, Garden City Center hosted its first Yappy Hour for the community. It was a chance for people to meet other people and dogs to meet other dogs, all to benefit EGAPL Heart of RI Animal Rescue League.
Hundreds of people along with their dogs attended during the hours the event was held. The cost of admission was a $10 donation. Also on hand were adoptable pups from the rescue league.
This first Yappy Hour came complete with treats and fun for humans as well as for dogs. It was a great time for fellow neighbors to mingle with others. They were also invited to go indoors at all dog-friendly stores, which were marked by a balloon at the entrance.
One lucky dog will be selected as an official mascot for Garden City Center based on photos that were done during the event.
