Starting on Wednesday, December 5, the 26 bakers of the Regina Coeli Society made 125 assorted cookie trays and bags. The large trays had two pounds of cookies; there were nut-free varieties and special ones just for kids.
The trays were sold after weekend masses at St. Mary's Church and completely sold out, according to Shirley Saccoccio, Regina Coeli Society president.
Anna Jones, cookie committee chairwoman, coordinated all the bakers and the assembly line process of sorting and packaging.
The society donates 90 percent of the proceeds back to the church.
