Over the summer, the Herald published two articles about Sean Seigel, an infant from West Kingston who was battling acute myeloid leukemia.

Local business owner Amy Conn, who owns Tag Sale Treasures in Pawtuxet Village, hosted a fundraiser to raise money for Sean and his family. Now, she is hosting another fundraiser on March 30 at her shop to help with funeral expenses for his family after Sean’s passing on March 14.

According to Conn, she is having a “healing fundraiser” that will include tarot cards, aura photography, reiki and more.

Reiki, according to Conn, involves the alignment of chakras, or spiritual powers. Aaura photography, she said, is “seeing your aura and what the seven-plus chakras mean.”

Aside from these activities, Conn will also be raffling off gift baskets and selling baked goods and handmade soaps. The commission from Perfectly Posh, which will be selling products, will go toward the fundraiser as well.

“When something so horrible like this happens to a child, you wonder why,” Conn said. “I see pictures of him always smiling. He’s so strong.”
