The day Marvelous Marvin came to town

Posted

Just as a dusting of snow appeared, so did Marvelous Marvin Novogrodski and his Circus Arts Workshop to benefit the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Rhode Island. Children were taught the basic skills behind juggling, walking on stilts, balancing, spinning plates and learned to juggle.

The Children’s Dyslexia Center offers a free program that provides tutoring to children with dyslexia as well as a training course for qualified adults leading to certification to tutor children with dyslexia. The center is a non-profit that relies on funding and fundraising. In April they will hold the seventh annual Reading is Music to Our Ears event, and in May the fourth annual 10K. For more information call 781-7953.
