On Nov. 20 the Cranston Historical Society honored Volunteers of the Year: the Sasso family and the Poirier Family.
Mayor Allan Fung brought the greetings from the City of Cranston and presented the honorees with City Citations, congratulating them for their volunteer services working with Cranston Historical Society.
For several years, Paul, Tamara, Kaylie and Alex Sasso of All the Answers, Inc. in Warwick have offered their printing and mailing services by printing and mailing CHS Newsletters and other projects.
Kaylie also volunteered time working with CHS curator, James Hall, archiving collections of the Mansion and Joy Homestead. All the Answers, Inc, also located in Warwick, is a mailing/marketing firm located near the airport.
Managing Partner, Bernie Poirier and son Tristan, of PPA, LLC, a certified public accounting and financial planning firm located in Warwick, has provided the Cranston Historical Society with exceptional services and has assisted CHS in their accounting needs for many years.
Their firm has provided extensive personal and business accounting services including estate planning, business/tax strategies, audits, tax related issues, new business formation for over 35 years.
Guest Speaker, John Currier Lt. Col. in the Pawtuxet Rangers, made a presentation on medical procedures used during the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and explained some of the period medical artifacts that were on display.
