Woodridge celebrates Reading Week with special guests

3 @C_Cutline:SPORTS STORIES: Superintendent Peter Nero and School Committee member Frank Lombardi teamed up for Reading Week, coordinating their Yankees gear, in opposition with the middle school principals, who are all Red Sox fans.

FAIRY TALE DAY: Assistant Superintendent Dr. Judy Lundsten visited Lorinda Jackson and her third grade class at Woodridge for a reading of “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs” and “The Giant and the Beanstalk.”

LEARNING TO READ: Deb Mellion, the director of literacy for Cranston Public Schools, read “Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus” as well as “Alice the Fairy,” to students in Bernadette Bowen’s morning kindergarten class.
