It seems counterintuitive to prescribe an antibiotic for the Chinese Bat-Eating VIRUS; I use Z-Packs when I feel a bug coming on that is believed to be bacterial.

I have been getting antivirals provided by a paramedic friend for the past five years; I watch "The Crud" go around my workplace, sometimes twice every season without being affected- the first wave usually comes through when my coworkers' kids return to the giant Petri dishes which are their public schools. Naturally, I'm taking it daily this year instead of every other day. Physicians have said that the prophylactic dose of antivirals doesn't combat the Kung Flu, but it can't hurt and I'm in an essential position, so staying home isn't always an option.

I just wonder if the medical community and/or gov't. fears a run on antivirals.
