Mr. Bone,

So if I’m satisfied with this mans performance then clearly he paid me? The guy is doing a fantastic job and doing things with the police department that I haven’t seen done before in the past. Cops that I speak to have nothing but good things to say about him and his leadership. How about I appreciate a department head that does a good job? I’m pretty sure I said good things about Col. McCartney when he retired.

Had Matt Solitro had an article written about all the good things he did, under difficult circumstances,

I would have commented positively on his behalf also. His people respected him and enjoyed working for him. Had Chief McLaughlin had a nice article highlighting the good things he did I would have commented on that also. The current fire chief hasn’t really done anything other than make a stupid decision to buy a used truck and put public safety at risk. He seems like an empty suit to me.

These comments are for more than just whining about people and being negative though. Our city workers have had it rough over the past few years, they deserve some positive recognition when warranted. If you paid attention to what went on in the city you’d also know who was doing great things or doing nothing, who’s workers respect them or don’t, , how morale is, and how effective they do their job.

Rathbun seems like he’s doing a great job and deserves the recognition. I love the special patches WPD creates, letting the cops grow beards for charity, their social media outreach and how they highlighted their hard work on Live PD. I’ve never seen their Christmas toy drives be so successful in the past.

Hopefully he continues to do a great job. I’m totally satisfied. But keep being a hater because someone gave a compliment instead of bitching and moaning. Happy New Year.
