The 2025 class of the Cranston Hall of Fame will induct five new members into its roster of more than 200 members.
The Cranston Hall of Fame Foundation is a nonprofit foundation established in 1980 by the Cranston School Committee. According to its website, the Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who demonstrate distinguished achievement, commitment and dedication to community involvement.
Lara D’Antuono is one of the five members being inducted into the Cranston Hall of Fame. She is a devoted community advocate who since 2000 has served as president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick. She previously held positions as development director and education director.
A 1998 graduate of Cranston High School West, D’Antuono received a B.S. in communications from Rhode Island College. She is a longtime Rotarian and currently serves as president of the Warwick Rotary Club.
D’Antuono has spent most of her adult life helping the hundreds of boys and girls, ages 5 to 18, who pass through the doors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick annually receive critical support and services from the clubs’ three locations in Warwick. She is experienced in all facets of leading a successful community nonprofit organization.
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick, she developed a culture of leadership and engagement, successfully led a $4-million capital campaign to replace the Clubs’ Norwood Branch and expand the Oakland Beach Unit, and grew the organization’s endowment by 300%.
As the organization’s president and CEO, she developed important partnerships with numerous community groups including the Warwick Police Department to build strong, positive relationships with members.
D’Antuono is a member of the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and serves on the safety team, conference planning committee, diversity committee and as a mentor to new CEOs. She has also received the Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Service to You Award, Warwick Rotary Service Above Self Award, and the Paul Harris Fellowship Award.
In view of her enduring devotion and the positive impact she has made on Rhode Island youth and her contributions to the community, the Cranston Hall of Fame proudly installs Lara D’Antuono as a member of the Class of 2025.
The annual Cranston Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Friday, Oct. 17 with social hour starting at 5 p.m. and the ceremony at 7 p.m., at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston.
