Accountability is the key

Today is the first day of my 11-day shred.  A bunch of us have an online group that meets and set goals.  The reason for the group is that it’s a proven fact that sharing your goals with someone else makes you much more likely to attain them.

We had a kick of a zoom meeting last night that was filled with lots of great information.  We also were told that if we were really in it to win it, we would weigh ourselves and take our measurements.

I’m a rule follower for the most part, so I did.  Well, that was an eye opener!  Winter clothes hide a multitude of sins.  I focus more on measurements then weight.  We all know that muscle weighs more than fat.  You can be in your weight category but be, skinny fat.  So, although my weight was pretty good, my measurements, not so much!  To be honest  I’m super excited about starting this shred.  Some of us are continuing to 30 days but going hard the first 11 days. It feels good to have a plan and a place to ask questions.  If you are interested in joining, it’s never too late.  Just message or email me.  I will keep you posted on my success.

You are also invited to join me at Rocky Point every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9 a.m.  A group of us walk at a moderate pace.  We call ourselves the Rocky Point Pacers!  Again, message or email me for details.

A quick update on the woodpecker that every year has choose my metal chimney to help him find a mate.  He wakes me up at 6 a.m. and proceeds to hammer for about 15 minutes.  I called the Big Blue Bug hotline and was told they do this to attract females and to stake out their territory.  He returns every few hours.  It’s maddening!  He’s not been lucky so far.  If you know of any therapist that helps woodpeckers, I’d be interested!  Reach out to me with any questions at 401-497-5656 or SixtiesAndSexy@gmail.com.  Happy Spring!
