Anna M. (Dean) Masse

Anna M. (Dean) Masse 91, died peacefully in her sleep at the Riverview Healthcare Community on Tuesday October 25, 2022. Anna was a devoted homemaker, loving wife and giving mother.


Anna, wife of the late Gerard Masse for over 62 years was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Esther Nelson and Francis Dean. She resided in her Cranston home for the past 50 years. She was the mother of three children; Robert Masse (and his wife Gertrude), Donald Masse (and his wife Gloria) and Beth Masse. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Shawn, William, Andrea, and Christopher and two great grandchildren, Kayden and Kaylee.


Anna had served on the Board of Directors at the Cranston Senior Center for several years and she was a member of the Cranston Senior Center for over 30 years. She was involved in the Senior Olympics and helped with running the senior bowling league. Anna was a very creative woman and participated in quilting and ceramic classes for many years.


Anna was very faithful and loved God. She enjoyed the simple things in life with gratitude. She loved her family traditions such as family gatherings at holidays. She enjoyed making and delivering meals to her children and grandchildren while also loading them up with her treasured ceramics. She was always surrounded with family photos if not with them in person.


A Christian Funeral Service will be held on Monday October 31st at 10:00am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 30th from 4:00-6:00pm.
