Kudos on your editorial giving a thoughtful and much-needed perspective to the life of Alan Shawn Feinstein. I became familiar with his P.T. Barnum-ish techniques for making money years ago when he was hawking stamps with the likeness of a "face" on Mars, an infamous image that turned out to be a trick of lighting and people's propensity to find faces in random patterns.
This “investment” is now worth $2.90 on Ebay, plus $1.15 shipping. (Barnum, by the way, was also a philanthropist known today for his many good works and served as mayor of Bridgeport, Conn.) I suspect you'll be getting some blowback from his fans, but it won't be deserved. You were just practicing good journalism.
