The Cranston Herald’s Athlete of the Week is West football wide receiver Charlie Cornell. After a breakout season in 2023, Cornell has enjoyed an even better year in 2024 and has been one of the state’s most productive wideouts. He was pivotal in West snapping a two-game losing streak last week when he hauled in three touchdowns on 168 yards of receiving to guide the Falcons to the 27-21 win over South Kingstown.
