The Cranston Herald’s first Athlete of the Week of the fall is Cranston West junior soccer player Saniyya Chase. After a breakout season in basketball as a sophomore, Chase is now making noise in soccer as she has accounted for three of the team’s first five goals of the year through two league games. Chase scored the team’s only goals in its home opener against Lincoln last week.
