It’s been more than three years since McDermott Pool in Warwick closed. And then came the pandemic and it wasn’t until Frank Picozzi became Warwick mayor that it reopened. The exception was the smaller therapy pool with temperatures in the mid-90s. In order to bring the therapy pool back on line, it needed a complete renovation including new pumps that were not readily available. The therapy pool reopened Tuesday and Roberta Greenberg of Cranston couldn’t be happier. “It’s the only exercise I get,” she said of both pools. Roberta has severe scoliosis. A daily pass to the two pools is $5. A resident yearly pass is $150 and non resident senior citizen/disabled is $120. (Herald photo)
