This week’s Senior Spotlite shines on Gloria Halliday. Gloria has been coming to the Johnston Senior Center for about the past 15 years.
Gloria was born and raised in Johnston, and after marrying, moved with her husband to Florida, where she lived, until his passing, for some 20 years. Besides her family, she claims the Senior Center is the “best thing in her life.”
Gloria is a regular at weekly Bingo, and enjoys the many trips, day and overnight, that the Center offers. She especially enjoys, like many others here, the “gambling” experience, and the excitement that “winning” brings. Gloria has two daughters and five grandchildren. She makes it a point to tell everyone she meets how much she enjoys it here.
Come visit us, and let us help you discover a place you will “love.”
Editor’s Note: Richard J. DelFino Jr. serves as Executive Director of the Johnston Senior Center, at 1291 Hartford Ave., Johnston. The Johnston Sun Rise regularly publishes a senior profile, called “Senior Spotlite,” submitted by the senior center.
