Hello Neighbor!
My name is Dr. Marc Bochner, DPT and I wanted to introduce myself as the Republican Candidate for City Council Ward 6.
I have lived in Cranston for 40 years, educated in Cranston Public School (Stone Hill Elementary, Western Hills Middle School, and Cranston High School West) and I am the son of Morris and Gail (Palazzo) Bochner.
As a small business owner in Cranston and a physical therapist, I know you need the right information to make the best decision, so I appreciate this opportunity to let you get to know who I am.
Every Decision I’ve Made Has Led Me Here …
When I was a boy growing up in Cranston, my mother always taught me to be nice to everyone, look out for those in need, and help those who need to be helped.
My father taught me how to use humor to diffuse situations, bring people together, and relax those who were anxious.
As a martial artist since the age of 8, I learned the values of discipline, integrity, and perseverance. I learned that failing is part of learning and is required to evolve in life.
From my patients as a physical therapist, I learned how determination and desire to improve can overcome injury or disability; that the power of optimism can overcome any circumstance.
As a weight loss coach, I learned to help clients break false beliefs about themselves and their health; to see things that before seemed “impossible.” I learned that it was my job to teach them to celebrate their wins and hold them accountable to the path of becoming who they want to become.
As a podcast host, I learned to listen first so I can ask the right questions, taking the conversation with my guest to a deeper level where we can both grow and evolve.
As a published author, I understand that hard work and determination are required to be successful.
Now I am here…embarking on a new journey to help more people.
The first question people ask me is what made you decide to run for City Council…
The honest answer is, it is the next logical step to use my experience and the skills I have acquired to help even more people in my community.
As the Republican Candidate for Ward 6 my desire is to serve the people of the ward by being accessible and addressing their concerns in a timely manner.
For the city of Cranston it is my desire to use my skills to make decisions that benefit the city as a whole, creating a sustainable and prosperous future.
Life isn’t about money, fame, or glamour, it is about impact.
It is about going to sleep knowing that you made a difference in someone’s life today, which in return is the greatest gift.
Ward 6 in Cranston is not just a land with houses, but multiple neighborhoods, each with families that call this home.
I am aware we all have different opinions, and different ideals, but at the end of the day we are all human and we all really want similar things.
We are all on this journey together and I am humbled to be on this journey with you!
