Bolts, Falcons in midseason push

The Bishop Hendricken, Toll Gate, Pilgrim and Cranston East and West boys indoor track & field teams squared off last week in preparation for the upcoming division championships. Here are some of the results from the day.

West’s relay team of Jose Mirabel, Akhere Adoro, Odion Adoro and Alonso Parker-Sharpe placed second in the 1,600. East’s Caden Holtzman finished second in the shot put for the Bolts.

West’s relay team of Aiden Robinson, Mirabel, Ryan Stoloff and Parker-Sharpe took third in the 800.

Parker-Sharpe placed fourth in the 300 dash. Evan Sao took fifth in the weight throw for the Falcons while teammate Akhere Adoro took fifth in the 600 run.

Bishop Hendricken’s Sam Zabbo won the 3,000 run while Toll Gate’s relay team of Jamie Luna, Trevor DiPanni, Domenic Calise and Mason Tanner won the 800. Nathan Rivas won the 55 dash for the Hawks as well.

Also placing first was Toll Gate’s Rhontahn Vega, who won the 600 run. Xavier Wilkens also finished first for Hendricken in the 300 dash. Hendricken’s relay team of Brendan Sisson, Aidan Flaherty, Tommy Flanders and Charles Kretzer won the 1,600.

Hendricken’s Loubnen Sukkar won the shot put while teammate Derek Goll won the weight throw.

Pilgrim’s Alex Pinheiro finished second in the 55 dash while Calise took second in the 300 dash for Toll Gate. Hendricken’s Ethan Charnley finished second in the weight throw.

Hendricken’s Ben Williamson finished third in the 55 hurdles while Luna finished third in the 55 hurdles for the Titans. Ollie Ide finished third in the 1,500 for Hendricken, while Pilgrim’s Jordan Lopes took third in the 600 run.

Hendricken’s Jacob Coates placed third in the 300 dash while teammate Will Olsen placed third in the 1,000 run. Toll Gate’s relay team of Izaiah Poston, Vega, Tanner and Cian Roberts finished third in the 1,600.

Josiah Nhar placed third in the high jump for the Hawks, while teammate Alex Arnold took third in the high jump and third in the shot put. Blake Lukens placed third for the Hawks in the weight throw. Pilgrim’s Hunter Schobel took third in the long jump.

Matt Friel finished fourth in the weight throw for the Hawks while teammate Ian Garcia placed fourth in the high jump. Pilgrim’s Jack Smith finished fourth in the 1,000 run. Hendricken’s Alex Sjoblom placed fourth in the 1,500 as well.

Calise wrapped up fourth in the 55 dash, while Toll Gate’s Joshua Maynard took fourth in the 3,000 run. Pilgrim’s relay team of Pinheiro, Schobel, Jack Coffey and Aiden Prum placed fourth in the 800.

Michael Shah wrapped up a fifth place finish in the high jump for Hendricken, while Pilgrim’s relay team of Tyler Boudreau, Lopes, Liam Kay and Liam Holmes took fifth in the 1,600. Wilkens also finished fifth in the 55 dash for the Hawks. Thomas Hanson placed fifth in the 3,000 run for the Hawks.

Hendricken’s relay team of Kretzer, Nate Feret, Jason Cardilli and Diego Tejada finished fifth in the 800.
