The former Boston Submarine Sandwiches, which has been a mainstay at 192 Gansett Avenue in Cranston since 1958, is now Boston Sub. Under new owner Dave Erickson's management you can expect the same great food and service that customers have enjoyed for over 50 years. Dave perfected his food service skills through long time employment with several restaurant chains, all the while wanting to own his own business. Nine months ago he reached his goal when he opened Boston Sub. When you enter Boston Sub you will immediately notice some changes. The shop is bright and clean and all the new renovations create an atmosphere for a relaxed dining experience for you and the family. Variety is the key word on the menu! There are many new dishes that will please your taste buds - subs come in regular size, or large size for bigger appetites. Choose from Roast Beef, Italian, homemade Chicken Salad, Sausage and Peppers, Steak and Cheese, and much, much more. Try a delicious Club Sandwich, or from the grille choose a juicy Hamburger or Cheeseburger. Hot Dogs or a grilled Chicken Sandwich are also grille favorites (all are served with crispy French fries). At Boston Sub everything is made with the freshest ingredients. The tasty veal, chicken, and eggplant Parmesan is from Fed-Rick's of Federal Hill and the freshly baked bread is delivered daily from Buono's. Mouth-watering Calzones are filled with a choice of Spinach, Eggplant Parmesan, Steak or Veggies, just to name a few. Boston Sub is also the place for premium pizza made with the freshest ingredients. Choose 12" or 16" rounds loaded with your choice of toppings and baked in a brick oven. As an added bonus there's always a daily special such as getting a free small pizza with the purchase of any large pizza. You might want to start your meal with tasty appetizers - some of the offerings are Chicken Fingers, Mozzarella Sticks, or a Wing Sampler with a choice of Buffalo, BBQ or plain. There are also a variety of crisp salads including House, Greek, Caesar, Fried Chicken, or Antipasto made with Salami, Provolone, pepperonci, and kalamata olives on a bed of fresh lettuce. If you like traditional New England food you have to try the New England style Clam Chowder and the moist on the inside, but crisp on the outside Fish & Chips that are served on Fridays and Wednesdays. In addition there's also a Lenten menu to choose from. When the warmer weather finally arrives, Del's Lemonade will also be on the menu along with soft serve and regular ice cream. Feeling lucky? You can play Keno at Boston Sub - it's fun and easy…and you just might win! If you are looking for fresh, hot, good food served in a cheerful friendly atmosphere you will find it at Boston Sub. Dave invites you to come in, or call Boston Sub at 401-942-7993 to order convenient take-out or request prompt delivery service. Major credit cards are accepted. Winter hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 am to 7 pm, Friday 11 am to 9 pm, and Saturday 12 noon to 8 pm.
