In recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month, from September 15 to October 15, Cranston Public Library’s Central branch has displayed the works of Artist and Teacher Jose Sejo and his “Ancestral Forms” display.
Born, raised and residing in the Dominican Republic, Sejo and his art were hosted by the Cranston Arts Commission to show and commemorate Spanish heritage and the diversity of the local community. The event featured traditional Hispanic foods, music and dancers to celebrate the reception of the display on October 11, from 4:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Those interested in seeing the display before it’s taken down should stop into Central Library, 140 Sockanosset Cross Road, anytime before end of day on October 31.
