A community favorite is returning on Friday, Oct. 29, at the Governor Sprague Mansion.
Beginning at 7 p.m., the Cranston Historical Society will once again present its Charlie the Butler Ghost Party with Jared the Magician & Mentalist. The mansion is located at 1353 Cranston St. in Cranston.
Jared DuBois, a well-known Rhode Island magical entertainer and mentalist, has honed his skills performing mind-reading curiosities and eye-popping miracles that will entertain and mesmerize. His sleight-of-hand magic with cards, coins and borrowed objects will make you wonder, “How does he do that?”
Tickets cost $20 per person and $17 for Historical Society members. Call 944-9226 to RVSP as soon as possible, as there will be limited seating. Costumes are optional, but no costume masks will be permitted. COVID-19 masks are required.
There will be other attractions at the event. For a separate fee, Debb Brown and Larry Lastra will provide tarot and psychic readings. And friends from What Cheer, Shakespeare? Theatre Company may stop by, as well.
The event is age appropriate for children 14 years old and up. Send checks by Oct. 25 to the attention of Charlie, Cranston Historical Society, 1351 Cranston St., Cranston, RI 02920, or call (401) 944-9226. After Oct. 25, call Charlie to make sure tickets are still available. Additional information is also available at www.cranstonhistoricalsciety.org.
