If you want to know what a person who is relentlessly passionate about cooking looks like, then look no further than Warwick’s very own Chef Marc Allen Needham (aka Chef Marc).  Chef Marc is the definition of “passion” when it comes to all things homemade, all things comfort food, all things “classic American cuisine,” all things delectable. The owner of Chef’s OBD ~ short for Chef’s Oakland Beach Diner ~ Marc is the consummate cook who wants you to taste his food and to experience firsthand his unforgettable homestyle cooking.

From the time he was a child cooking with his parents, Marc knew he wanted to be a chef. It has been a lifetime dream ~ one that began in the kitchen of his childhood home and followed him throughout his whole career ~ to own a diner.  When opportunity and fate collided, he was able to purchase the former Beach Café on Oakland Beach Avenue.  He wasted no time taking over the kitchen, putting his talents, skills and a lifetime of experience to work.  Today, Chef’s OBD is open for your business. The grill is sizzling, the smoker is smoking, the burners are fired up, the staff is ready to serve you, and your table is waiting.

At Chef’s OBD, you will find some of the best diner food around.  Open six days a week at 7:00 in the morning, the restaurant serves up Chef Marc’s most popular recipes and mouthwatering cuisine. His food is made from fresh ingredients, whether its straight off-the-boat fish or corn from nearby Morris Farm (and everything in between).  Chef Marc is always trying to perfect his dishes which is why you will often see him mingling with the restaurant’s guests to hear their thoughts.  

If you want to start your day with a traditional breakfast of omelets, pancakes, waffles, homemade corned beef hash, eggs and so much more ~ come to Chefs OBD. If you want to linger over a bowl of soup or choose from a huge assortment of deli sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and scrumptuous starters ~ come to Chef’s OBD.  If you want to be WOW’ed, then you must try some of his weekly specials:  Taco Tuesdays with authentic tacos (no shortcuts allowed here), BBQ Thursday (can you smell the aroma of your brisket?), Fish & Chips on Friday or Alternating Specials on Wednesdays (can you say “homemade Italian comfort food”?)

Chef’s OBD is located at 805 Oakland Beach Avenue.  Hours are 7:00am to 9:00pm on Tuesday – Thursday, 7:00am – 10:00pm on Fridays & Saturdays, and 7:00am -1:00pm on Sundays for brunch only.  The kitchen closes one hour before the restaurant closes.  Takeout is available; delivery orders are made only online at www.chefsobd.com.  Check them out on Facebook, Instagram and What’s App.  Questions?  Call 401-732-3213.
