Proposed Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan
(Oaklawn Avenue 840 & 846)

There will be a Public Hearing on proposed Ordinance No. 8-21-01 to consider an amendment of the Land Use Plan Map and Land Use Element 2 of the 2012 Cranston Comprehensive Plan.  The subject site for which this amendment is located 840 and 846 Oaklawn Avenue, Assessor’s Plat no. 15/2, lots no. 361 and 368.

The proposed amendment is a change in land use designation for the above properties from “Single family residential less than 10.89 units per acre” to “Highway commercial services”.

The public hearing will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 6:30 pm before the Ordinance Committee in the Cranston City Hall Council Chambers, 869 Park Ave., Cranston, RI and via Zoom Webinar by logging into the link below or by phone by calling any of the numbers listed below:

The matter will also be heard by the Planning Commission on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cranston City Hall Council Chamber, 869 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI.  Notice is hereby given pursuant to R.I.L.G. 45-24-53.

Pursuant to R.I.G.L. 45-23-53(A)(5), these proposed regulations may be altered or amended prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing, provided that any such alteration or amendment must be presented for comment in the course of the public hearing.
