The scholarships of $500 are awarded to graduating high school seniors from Cranston who participated in both CLCF and high school sports programs, displayed leadership abilities and volunteered in support of community organizations. The awards are dedicated to Leo Castiglioni who founded CLCF in 1953 and was the organization’s first president.

This year’s recipients are Stella Loezos and Norah Flinn from Cranston High School East; Marcus Chung, Aidan Royal and Jovina Yu from Cranston High School West, and Blake Santos from LaSalle Academy. Their credentials stood out from a large group of well qualified applicants, all who demonstrated commitment to academics and athletics, and community engagement during their high school years. CLCF Board of Director member Frank Notarianni presented the awards at the Cranston West Honors Night on May 9th and board member Rick MacDonald presented the awards at the Cranston East Honors Convocation on May 17th.
