Richard E. Cote, 91, of Warwick, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Ethel M. (Tefft) Cote, with whom he shared 69 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Providence, RI, Richard was the son of the late Arthur J. and Esther L. (Johnson) Cote. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, having served his country with honor. After his military service, Richard worked as a Mold Maker for many years, dedicating himself to his craft before retiring.

Richard was a man of many talents and interests. For 40 years, he was a cherished member of his church choir. His love for singing brought joy to those around him and he even shared his talent while singing at weddings. Richard was also an avid fan of Boston sports, never missing a game. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing golf and tennis, often spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Above all, Richard treasured the time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his greatest joy was the love and laughter shared with those closest to him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Richard is survived by his two sons, Stephen and his wife Laurel, and John and his wife Lindsay; daughter, Deborah Johnson and her husband Paul; siblings, Paul Cote, Lorraine Campbell, Aline Lefebvre, Joseph Cote, and George Cote; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was the brother of the late Arthur, Donald, Kenneth, and Robert Cote.

Relatives and friends are invited to join his Funeral Service on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 9:00am, from the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, followed by a Mass of Chrisitan Burial at 10am in St. Gregory the Great Church, Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will be held in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  His Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home.
