DRUG CHARGES

On Aug. 17 at 6:33 p.m., police arrested Jason Marte, 18, 12 Massie Ave., Apt. 2, Providence, on charges of possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, reckless driving and other offenses against public safety, and possession of marijuana, one ounce or greater. Police say Marte was arrested as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Gladstone Street.

On Aug. 19 at 3 p.m., police arrested Steven Lafazia, 18, 160 Warwick Ave., Apt. 4, Cranston, on charged of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a Schedule V controlled substance with intent to deliver, and maintaining a common nuisance/controlled substances. Police say Lafazia was arrested as a result of an investigation on Warwick Avenue.

DUI

On Aug. 19 at 1:04 a.m., police arrested Maria Florio, 20, 59 Park Ave., Cranston, on a charge of driving under the influence. Police say Florio was arrested as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Oaklawn Avenue.

On Aug. 21 at 9:31 a.m., police arrested Christopher Gilchrist, 37, 146 Westcott Ave., Cranston, on charges of driving under the influence and driving to endanger resulting in injury. Police say Gilchrist was arrested on Westcott Avenue on an existing Cranston Police arrest warrant.

On Aug. 22 at 9:24 p.m., police arrested Peter Xayvongsa, 29, 131 Carman St., Cranston, on charges of driving under the influence and duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage. Police say Xayvongsa was arrested as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Minola Street.

ASSAULT

On Aug. 10 at 12:54 a.m., police arrested Matthew Blinkhorn, 23, 59 Park Ave., Apt. 3, Cranston, on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct. Police say Blinkhorn was arrested as a result of a disturbance call on Atwood Avenue.

On Aug. 19 at 4:10 p.m., police arrested Vittorio Cima, 52, 3567 Old Post Road, Apt. 3, Charlestown, on a charge of assault on persons 60 years of age or older causing bodily injury and vandalism/malicious injury to property. Police say Cima turned himself in at the department’s Garfield Avenue headquarters.

On Aug. 21 at 7:52 a.m., police arrested Dennis Sanford, 42, 85 Briggs St., Apt. 1312, Cranston, on charges of assault on a person over 60 and disorderly conduct. Police say Sanford was arrested as a result of a disturbance call on Briggs Street.

On Aug. 21 at 11:41 a.m., police arrested Patricia Levine, 77, 50 Birch St., Apt. 1207, Cranston, on charges of assault on a person over 60 and disorderly conduct. Police say Levine was arrested as a result of a disturbance call on Birch Street.

On Aug. 21 at 11:41 a.m., police arrested Susan Reed, 63, 50 Birch St., Apt. 1209, Cranston, on charges of assault on a person over 60 and disorderly conduct.

On Aug. 23 at 1:40 a.m., police arrested Jean Phredrick, 30, 137 Penn St., Apt. 11, Providence, on charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. Police say Phredrick was arrested as a result of a call for service on Dyer Avenue.

DOMESTIC CHARGES

On Aug. 19 at 10:09 a.m., police arrested Robert Perry, 51, 123 Robinson St., Providence, on charges of domestic assault, simple assault, willful trespassing and domestic disorderly conduct.

On Aug. 20 at 10:15 a.m., police arrested Robert Swider, 53, 40 Waterman Ave., Apt. 1, North Providence, on a charge of violation of a domestic protective order.

On Aug. 22 at 1:33 p.m., police arrested Walter Barrientos, 30, 23 Shafter St., Apt. 1, Providence, on charges of domestic simple assault, domestic vandalism and vandalism.

FORGERY

On Aug. 19 at 11:33 a.m., police arrested Andres Rivera, 58, 158 Woodbine St., Cranston, on charges of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates. Police say Rivera was arrested as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Pontiac Avenue.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On Aug. 23 at 1:40 a.m., police arrested Amanda Ferri, 26, 192 Cottage St., Central Falls, on charges of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. Police say Ferri was arrested as a result of a call for service on Dyer Avenue.

On Aug. 23 at 1:40 a.m., police arrested Pedro Martinez, 31, 57 Ave. B., Apt. 1, Woonsocket, on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer. Police say Martinez was arrested as a result of a call for service on Dyer Avenue.

SHOPLIFTING

On Aug. 19 at 3 p.m., police arrested Roger Gomez, 30, 176 Wallace St., second floor, Providence, on charges of shoplifting and willful trespassing. Police say Gomez was arrested as a result of a call for service on Garfield Avenue. He was additionally taken into custody on a bench warrant issued from Superior Court.

On Aug. 22 at 10:24 a.m., police arrested Josue Baldayac, 29, 40 Ida St., Apt. 2, Providence, on charges of shoplifting and conspiracy. Police say Baldayac was arrested as a result of a shoplifting call on Plainfield Pike.

SUSPENDED LICENSE

On Aug. 22 at 10:43 a.m., police arrested Brian Reynolds, 55, 6 Hawthorne St., Apt. 1, Providence, on a charge of driving with a suspended license, third or subsequent offense. Police say Reynolds was arrested as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Warwick Avenue.

PROTECTIVE ORDER VIOLATION

On Aug. 21 at 12:24 p.m., police arrested Natalia Simas, 24, 75 Independence Way, Apt. 50205, Cranston, on a charge of violation of a protective order.

On Aug. 21 at 12:24 p.m., police arrested Grey Withrow, 25, 75 Independence Way, Apt. 50205, Cranston, on a charge of violation of a protective order.

WARRANTS

On Aug. 18 at 5:47 p.m., police took Craig Licker, 28, 105 Harding St., West Warwick, into custody on an arrest warrant issued from Providence Police. Police say Licker was arrested as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Park Avenue.

On Aug. 21 at 5:58 p.m., police took Dennis Smith, 46, Roxbury, Massachusetts, into custody on an arrest warrant issued from Pawtucket Police. Police say Smith was arrested as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Warwick Avenue.

On Aug. 21 at 6:10 p.m., police took Donnell Kilgore, 27, 2045 Broad St., Apt. 102, Cranston, into custody on an arrest warrant issued from Rhode Island State Police. Police say Kilgore was arrested on Broad Street.
