EMBEZZLEMENT

On Jan. 27, at about 3:34 p.m., officers arrested Joshua Perez, 35, of 839

Sanderson Rd., Johnston, on a charge of Embezzlement/Fraudulent Conversion Over $100. The arrest was the result of an ongoing embezzlement investigation involving Technic Inc., 1 Spectacle St., Cranston. Perez was arraigned and released.

DRUG POSSESSION

On Jan. 27, at about 7:26 p.m., officers arrested Artur Faryan, 43, of 4 Baldwin Orchard Dr., Cranston, on a charge of Possession of a Scheduled II Narcotic (Cocaine). The arrest was the result of an erratic operator on Eldridge St. Faryan was arraigned and released.

DOMESTIC SIMPLE ASSAULT

On Jan. 27 at 11:01 a.m., officers arrested Armani Vasquez, 18, of 707 Dyer Ave., Cranston, on a charge of Domestic Simple Assault. The arrest was the result of an attempted pickup at the aforementioned address on an arrest and affidavit warrant out of the Cranston Police Department. Vasquez was taken to 3rd District Court.

RECKLESS DRIVING

On Jan. 27 at 2:15 a.m., officers arrested Payne Sayavong, 20, of 10 Stony Acre Dr., Cranston, on charges of Reckless Driving/Eluding Police, Violation of a No Contact Order and Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty. The arrest was the result of a traffic stop on Peerless Street. Sayavong was held for morning court.

INDECENT EXPOSURE / DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On Jan. 26 at 3 p.m., officers arrested Gary Arnold, 36, of 30 Howard Ave., Cranston, on a charge of Indecent Exposure / Disorderly Conduct – 1st Offense, a Superior Court Bench Warrant, and a 3rd District Court Bench Warrant. The arrest was the result of a call for service at 521 Pontiac Ave. and subsequent investigation. Arnold was arraigned and remanded to the ACI as a probation violator.

SHOPLIFTING/FELONY

On Jan. 26 at 1:58 p.m., officers arrested Gentina Smith, 43, of 17 Brown St., North Providence, for on a felony charge of Shoplifting. The arrest was the result of a call for service at 204 Garfield Ave. (Stop & Shop). Smith was awaiting arraignment.

 

BENCH WARRANT

On Jan. 26 at about 8:57 a.m., officers arrested Jeison Cuevas Jiminez, 29, of 42 June Ave., Cranston, on an outstanding bench warrant from 3rd District Court. The arrest was the result of a motor-vehicle stop in the area of Rt. 10 South and Reservoir Avenue. Cuevas Jiminez was taken to ACI Intake.

FELONY SHOPLIFTING

On Jan. 25 at 3:11 p.m., officers arrested Leotis Harris, 63, of 1 Cadillac Ave.,  Apt #714, Providence, on a felony charge of Shoplifting. The arrest was the result of a call for service at 1776 Plainfield Pike. (Walmart). Harris was arraigned and remanded to the ACI as a probation violator.

 

LARCENY

On Jan. 25 at 3:53 p.m., officers arrested Mario Aponte, 19, of 654 Cranston St., Providence, on a charge of Larceny Under $1500. The arrest was the result of state police transferring custody of Aponte based on a previously issued arrest warrant. He was arraigned and released.

SHOPLIFTING & CONSPIRACY

On Jan. 25 at 6:33 p.m., officers arrested Derik Moran, 45, of 457 Admiral St., Apt #1L, Providence, on charges of Shoplifting and Conspiracy. The arrest was the result of a pickup at Rhode Island State Police – Lincoln Barracks based upon a previously issued arrest warrant. Moran was arraigned and released.

SHOPLIFTING

On Jan. 24 at 5:01 p.m., officers arrested Neville Geter, 37, homeless (Pawtucket), on a count of Shoplifting and two Superior Court Full Bench Warrants. The arrest was the result of a call for service at 1776 Plainfield Pike (Walmart). Geter was arraigned and remanded to the ACI as a probation violator.

SHOPLIFTING/FELONY

On Jan. 24 at 6:49 p.m., officers arrested Janice Stewart, 29, of 25 Fairfield Rd., Cranston, on a felony count of Shoplifting. The arrest was the result of an attempted pick up at the aforementioned address. Stewart was arraigned and remanded to the ACI as a probation violator.

EXECUTED WARRANT

On Jan. 23 at 11:20 p.m., officers arrested Timothy Hurley, 28, of 281 Depot St., South Easton, Massachusetts, on a count of shoplifting. The arrest was the result of a RISP arrest on a Cranston Police arrest warrant. Hurley was arraigned and released.

 

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

On Jan. 23 at 3:11 p.m., officers arrested Victoria Aguiar, 18, of 258 Locust Glen Dr., Cranston, on one count of Domestic Violence - Simple Assault/Battery. The arrest was the result of a disturbance call at the aforementioned address. Aguiar was arraigned and released.

DOMESTIC FELONY ASSAULT & DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On Jan. 22 at 10:22 p.m., officers arrested Lemuel De La Cruz, 27, of 50

Randall St., Cranston, on a charge of Domestic Felony Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a call for a disturbance at 50 Randall St. De La Cruz was arraigned and released.

DOMESTIC SIMPLE ASSAULT

On Jan. 22 at 9:44 p.m., officers arrested Josue Jules, 45, of 18 Spooner St., Providence, on a charge of Domestic Simple Assault. The arrest was the result of a call for service at 172 Preston Ave. Jules was held for arraignment.

BENCH WARRANT

On Jan. 22 at 9:34 p.m., officers arrested Jason Sayles, 39, of 50 Birch St., #600, Cranston, on a Superior Court bench warrant. The arrest was the result of a suspicious person report in the area of 204 Garfield Ave. (Stop & Shop). Sayles was taken to ACI Intake.

WILLFUL TRESPASS

On Jan. 22 at 11:19 a.m., officers arrested Nancy Zompa, 73, of 105 Echo Lane, Cranston, on a charge of Willful Trespass. The arrest was the result of Zompa turning herself in on an arrest and affidavit warrant from this department. She was arraigned in 3rd District Court.

DUI

On Jan. 22 at 1:51 a.m., officers arrested Vanesa J Calle Watts, 41, of 136 Earl St., Central Falls, on a charge of DUI (BAC readings of .168 and .170). The arrest was the result of a car stop on Broad Street at Grand Avenue. Calle Watts was held for arraignment.

LARCENY

On Jan. 21 at 4:26 p.m., officers arrested Adam Cooper, 40, of 1809 Warwick Ave., Apt. 31NW, Warwick, on a charge of Larceny Under $1500. The arrest was the result of an Affidavit Arrest Warrant pick up at Kent Hospital, 455 Toll Gate Rd., Warwick. Cooper was issued a 3rd District Court Release to Appear.

DUI

On Jan. 21 at 3:15 p.m., officers arrested Richard Tierney, 51, of 62 Glen View Dr., Cranston, on a charge of DUI-1st Offense-BAC Unknown. The arrest was the result of an accident investigation on Brayton Ave. Tierney was issued a 3rd District Court Release to Appear.

DISTURBANCE

On Jan. 21 at 8:40 p.m., officers arrested Krista McCagney, 38, of 314 Princess Ave., Cranston, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant from Providence police. The arrest was the result of a disturbance at 1321 Cranston St. Apt. 1. McCagney was turned over to the Providence Police Department.

VANDALISM

On Jan. 21 at 12:54 p.m., inspector(s) arrested Michael Galvin, 46, of 75 Rowe Dr. Cranston, on a charge of Vandalism. The arrest was the result of Galvin turning himself

in on an arrest and affidavit warrant from this department. He was arraigned at 3rd District Court.
