With the new school just around the corner, there are quite a few faces that will not be seen in the schools this year.

With a combined 1, 186 years spent working in the Cranston Public School Department, the list of retirees reflects the commitment to their jobs, students and the district as a whole.

These people dedicated more than just their time to the district. Based on the amount of years they were in CPS, proves their loyalty and allegiance. Each will be remembered for their hard work and commitment to their work ethic.

With 36 years in the district, Gail Marsocci, a fifth grade teacher at Orchard Farms, was the longest serving employee this year.

Superintendent, Jeannine Nota-Masse wishes everyone a wonderful retirement.

"As with every school year, it is bittersweet to say a final good bye to so many of the dedicated CPS employees. Teachers, paras, principals, administrators and trades people all have been integral parts of the district’s success.

I wish them good health and happiness in whatever their futures may hold," she said.
