Vaccines for Older Adults

Wednesday, August 30th – 10:00 a.m.

Facilitator:  CVS Pharmacist Mary McKenna

Are you up to date with all your vaccinations?  Which ones need a “booster” shot and when?  Should you get them at the doctor’s office or at your pharmacy?  It is important to be sure you are properly vaccinated.  Our pharmacist will answer these important questions.

On-Line Health Information

Wednesday, September 6th – 10:00 a.m.

URI Pharmacy Outreach Program

Is on-line health information confusing you?  This informative presentation will detail refilling and accessing your prescriptions on-line, scheduling vaccines, and communicating with your doctor through telehealth and phone apps to help you track your health.

HomeCare Advantage

Wednesday, September 6th – 10:00 a.m.

HomeCare Advantage offers a comprehensive range of home care services by fully bonded and licensed professionals that work for your specific needs. A representative from HomeCare Advantage will be available to explain these many in home services available to you.

Caregiver’s Support Group

Wednesdays, September 6th & 27th – 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Chronic Pain Self-Management Workshop

Information Session

Thursday, September 7th – 10:00 a.m.

It is possible to manage your chronic pain and well-being.  Come and learn about the up coming FREE six session workshop being offered at the Center. This six session workshop will be offered on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. beginning on September 27th ending on November 1st.   

Mayor’s Annual Senior Picnic

Friday, September 15th – 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This year we will again partner with the Cranston Historical Society and have the picnic at the Sprague Mansion 1351 Cranston Street.  It is a great location with easy access and plenty of parking. There will be food, games, live music, and prizes.  Tickets available at the Cranston Senior Enrichment Center only $3.00.  Transportation available from the Center to the Sprague Mansion.  Advance reservations are necessary.
