Alphabet Soup of Advanced Directives

“Deconstructing the Alphabet Soup”

Wednesday, March 27th – 10:00 a.m.

Are you confused with all the buzz words and acronyms when it comes to Advanced Directives and Advanced Care Planning?  You are not alone!  It is easy to be confused and overwhelmed…CPR, DNR, POA, living will, incubation, and it goes on.  At this important presentation we will clarify the medical jargon and the abbreviations to help you understand and feel more comfortable when making your decisions on your Advanced Care Plan.

 


A Matter of Balance

“A Safe Fall Prevention Program”

Mondays & Thursdays

Beginning April 8th ending May 2nd

9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Falls are preventable!  Falls are not a normal part of aging!  Most falls can be prevented – and YOU have the power to reduce that risk!  Register now for our FREE fall prevention evidenced-based program.  It meets twice a week for four weeks.  Upon successful completion of the program each participant will receive a gift certificate.  Space is limited.  Register now by calling 780-6000.


Aerobics

Mondays & Wednesdays – 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Fee: $3.00

Why Aerobics?  Aerobic exercise provides cardiovascular conditioning.  It increases hart rate and the body’s use of oxygen.  It helps decrease the risk of heart disease, lowers blood pressure, increases HDL (good cholesterol), helps to better control blood sugar, and improves lung function.  These are just a few benefits. So, why not come and try it!  It is designed especially for older adults and is for all fitness levels.


Balance, Strength & Flexibility

Tuesdays – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Fee: $3.00

A total body workout with a focus on strengthening overall balance, posture, muscle tone, and mobility.  You will learn how to move the body in a healthy way so as to reduce pain and improve body awareness.  Classes are with or without the use of a chair.

Nurse: Tuesdays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Pharmacist: Tuesdays& Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
