URI Pharmacy Outreach Program
Let’s play jeopardy! Topic presented will be Oral Health & You followed by a game of Jeopardy. Taking care of your teeth and gums as we get older can prevent many problems. But when problems arise such as, toothaches, dry mouth or canker sores…what do we do? How can we treat small dental emergencies before seeing the dentist? These topics and more will be discussed along with “Game Playing.”

Would you like to improve the accessibility to your tub and make it safer to get in and out of? Tubcut is the answer. By lowering the tub’s side, it reduces the need for a high step-over, making it much easier and safer to enter and exit the bathtub. Join Paul for an explanation on how it is done and the cost of such an option.
A Matter of Balance
“A Safe Fall Prevention Program”

A Matter of Balance acknowledges the risk of falling and emphasizes practical coping strategies to reduce this fear. These strategies include promoting a view of falls and fear of falling as controllable, setting realistic goals for increasing activity, changing the environment to reduce fall risk factors, and promoting exercise to increase strength and balance. This FREE fall prevention evidenced-based program meets twice a week for four weeks. Upon successful completion of the program each participant will receive a gift certificate. Space is limited. Healthy Eating For Successful Living
“A Free Six Week Workshop”
Tuesdays – 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Beginning May 7th ending June 11th

Healthy Eating For Successful Living is a FREE program for older adults who want to learn more about nutrition and how lifestyle changes can promote better health. The main components of the program include goal setting, problem solving, group support, nutrition education, and management of dietary patterns. Space is limited. To register call 780-6000.
