Volunteering makes a huge difference in the lives of others, but did you know that volunteering also benefits you? It can positively affect your health and wellbeing. At this presentation, you will learn how it can benefit you and what opportunities are available for you to volunteer.
Four week series beginning July 6
Wednesdays – 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Instructor: Tracey Rose
Fee: $40 for the series
What are the benefits of ballroom dancing? Besides having fun, ballroom dancing improves muscle and bone strength while lowering the risk of injury or exhaustion. In addition, the improved posture, balance and motor skills encouraged by ballroom dancing can help prevent falls and other accidents dangerous to the older adult. Friday, July 15 – 10:15 a.m.
Facilitator: Edward P. McCormick, Esq.
This presentation will focus on Elder Law. Elder Law is a field that addresses legal issues that affect older individuals and the general concerns that go along with elder law. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.
Mondays through Fridays – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Computers, large monitors and high speed internet available.
Mondays and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in-person training – one-on-one assistance.
Wednesdays - 1 p.m.
Fee: $3

Meals on Wheels of RI helps homebound seniors statewide stay healthy and safe in their own homes with daily delivered meals, well-being checks, and social visits., To order MOW’s, please call 401-351-6700. Volunteers are needed to reach Cranston homebound seniors, Monday-Friday.
