Carol A. (Magiera) DeAngelis, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Robert's Health Centre in North Kingstown, RI at the age of 78. She was married to her beloved husband, Arthur J. DeAngelis for 53 wonderful years until his passing in 2018. She was born in West Warwick, RI on October 23, 1944, to the late Walter and Rose (Grenier) Magiera.
Carol embarked on a remarkable career at Citizens Bank, where she devoted three decades of her life ultimately achieving the prestigious position of Vice President. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Carol and her late husband, affectionately known as "Bo Bo," were active participants in their local politics and community.
Carol's greatest source of pride was her role as a mother. Her daughter, Nancy, was the center of her universe and she dedicated herself to ensuring that she passed on her strength, success, and wisdom to her daughter.
Carol's legacy will continue through the life of her loving daughter, Nancy DeAngelis, and her husband, Donald Rainone, MD and his children: Paul Rainone, Gina Rainone, Mia Rainone, and Dominic Rainone. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Georgette Joubert, nephews Edward Ionata, James Ionata, John Ionata, niece Karlene Fratus, cousin JoAnn Month, and her cousin and best friend Sandi Rebello. The family will be forever grateful for the compassion that the Greenwich Farms at Warwick gave to Carol, making her final years so very precious and meaningful. Carol's memory will forever inspire those who had the privilege of sharing in her life's journey.
Calling hours will take place at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI on Friday, September 29 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A private burial will take place at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family kindly requests donations to the charity of choice in Carol's name, as she was a firm believer in giving back to her community.
