Edward A. Doyle 58, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on October 24, 2024. Born in Cranston, he was the son of Edward F. and Edith “Patty” (Turner) Doyle.
Edward worked side-by-side with his dad at Cowesett Motors, doing auto body for many years before starting work for Local 51 as a Welder/Pipefitter alongside his brother Steven for 17 years prior to his retirement because of illness.
He enjoyed golfing and taking long walks as well as driving on country roads. In his younger days he enjoyed riding dirt bikes. He also had a passion for studying his family’s ancestry. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents Edward is survived by his wife Tracey (Wenskowicz) Doyle, and their sons Edward A. Doyle, Jr. and Staff Sgt. Jessie J. Doyle USA. He was the brother of Steven P. Doyle and uncle to his niece Amanda P. (Doyle) Vargas and nephew Matthew S. Doyle.
The family would like to thank ALS United and the doctors and nurses at Kent Hospital for their kindness and care during Edward’s Illness.
His Funeral Home Service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
