PUBLIC MEETING FOR SELECTION AND COMBINATION OF POLLING LOCATIONS
FOR MARCH 2, 2021  SPECIAL ELECTION

The Cranston Board of Canvassers will meet on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021 at 4 p.m. to discuss and select combined polling locations for the March 2, 2021 Special Election.  This meeting will be open to public comment, and will be conducted electronically under the provisions of the Governor’s Executive Order 20-46. Meeting details for public access, including a web link and access phone number, will be posted at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting on the City of Cranston’s official website: www.cranstonri.gov. Anyone interested in participating in the meeting may also call the Canvassing Department at 401-780-3128 to receive meeting access details. Due to COVID-19, under state law as passed by the General Assembly, the March 2, 2021 Special Election will be a “Predominantly Mail Ballot Election,” however, please note that limited combined polling locations for in-person voting on March 2 will still be provided. Cranston voters may vote on March 2 at the location of nearest convenience to them, subject to final approval by the state Board of Elections. The three tentative Cranston locations under consideration by the Cranston Board of Canvassers for the March 2, 2021 Special Election are: SCOTTISH RITE MASONIC LODGE, 2115 BROAD ST; PETER T. PASTORE, JR. YOUTH CENTER, 155 GANSETT AVE; and RI NATIONAL GUARD BUILDING – SCHOFIELD ARMORY, 705 NEW LONDON AVE.
