Essential oils to boost your immunity!

We all know the simple things that keeps you healthy.   You need to be sure that you are getting enough rest, eating healthy and exercising   Especially through the winter when colds and flu are everywhere.

I always get a flu shot and this year I did get my covid shot and booster.  I’m sixty-five and figured that most of the “unknowns” really didn’t apply to me.  If I was a mom with young children, I wouldn’t have them vaccinated.   I feel that children can build their own immunity.  When I was a child and the chicken pox came around, we would invite all the cousins and run it through the house!  So, what essential oils could you add to your arsenal to make this winter healthy and happier!   Remember you never apply essential oils to you skin.  You need to use a carrier oil, like grapeseed or put it in a spray bottle and just add water.  I like this method a lot because you can use it as room spray, linen spray, or body spray.

Eucalyptus: this comes from the leave of the eucalyptus tree. It has a long history of use for ailments like cough and respiratory infections.

Clove:  this comes from the dried flower bud of the Syzygium Aromaticum.

It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and pain easing properties.

Lavender:  the oils are obtained from the flowers of the lavender plant.  It has anti-inflammatory properties as well as stress reducing and antimicrobial benefits!

And last but not least…

Tea Tree: this oil is made from the leaves of the tea tree plant, Melaleuca alternifolia.  It had been found that this oil helps with skin inflammation as well as respiratory problems.

Learning about Aromatherapy and it benefits is more of a deep dive then an article in the paper.  If you are interested in learning more and making your own health boosting products, please message me at
