Fire department open house

AN ARTISTIC THANK YOU: The Forte Brothers – Rocco, 7, and Luca, 4, – pose with firefighters Alex Cardoso and Corey Rebello who are holding drawings given to them by Rocco and Luca.

TESTING FIREFIGHTER GEAR: Seven-year-old Rocco Forte stood with Chief Jim Warren while trying on his mask.

FREE ID CARDS: Cranston Police Inspector Thomas Okolowitcz was at the open house to offer free IDs for children. He posed with Alex, 3, and Benny Murro, 7, with their new identification cards.

The Cranston Fire Department held an open house on July 30 at Station 2 (301 Pontiac Ave.). Individuals could tour the firehouse and fire trucks while lunch was provided. The event was free for the whole family and made possible by OneCranston HEZ and CCAP. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
