Garden City’s Beer Fest has once again come in time to add to Oktoberfest Celebrations that take place across the Western world during the last few weeks of September through the early part of October.
During each weekend of September a different brewer finds themselves featured in Garden City at Avvio Ristorante. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the quickly coming end of the Summer by sitting outside at the Garden City gazebo for a rotating lineup of local breweries for a family (and dog!) friendly beer garden that has fun and games, live music, and more.
Those interested in attending can find the offerings available from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and 2-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The first week of Beer Fest featured a selection of beers from Grey Sail Brewing in Westerly, the second week was dedicated to Narragansett Brewing in Providence, and this coming weekend will offer a selection from Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co. in Newport.
The final week of Beer Fest will take place starting on September 29 and will feature beers from Whalers Brewing Company located in South Kingston. These photos are from the first week of the festival where attendees had a chance to enjoy, not just Grey Sail beer but, cornhole, beer pong with buckets instead of cups and a giant connect four set.
