The Gershkoff Auto-Top Notch Rentals junior Legion team is off to a strong start this summer with a 9-4 record.

The team most recently beat Post 39 Blue in back-to-back games. Gershkoff took the first game 11-0 and got multi-RBI outings from Michael Blair, Aiden Neil and Michael Nunez on offense. Aidyn Pizzuti got the win on the mound, pitching three innings and allowing no hits, no runs and striking out five batters. Reece Zarrella come on in relief and tossed four scoreless innings and picked up the save.

The team kept rolling as it turned around to beat Post 39 again, this time 9-1. Neil had a two-run double on offense and earned the win on the mound, tossing five innings and allowing just one run on one hit and striking out eight. Zarrella pitched two scoreless innings in relief and recorded another save. 

The team will now travel to California to compete in a tournament before returning home to take on Upper Deck next week to resume its local schedule.
