Through the assistance of sponsors, St. Mary’s Feast Society raised $2,500 to purchase 50 twenty pound turkeys from Cola Foods which volunteers gave to those in need Monday afternoon. Of the funds raised, $700 will go toward toys for the feast society’s annual toy drive. Feast society member Mike Lombardi started this annual turkey giving event two years ago; in the first year, members distributed 200 ten pound turkeys and last year handed out 250 ten pound turkeys.
