Through the assistance of sponsors, St. Mary’s Feast Society raised $2,500 to purchase 50 twenty pound turkeys from Cola Foods which volunteers gave to those in need Monday afternoon. Of the funds raised, $700 will go toward toys for the feast society’s annual toy drive. Feast society member Mike Lombardi started this annual turkey giving event two years ago; in the first year, members distributed 200 ten pound turkeys and last year handed out 250 ten pound turkeys. Sponsors included Mike Lombardi Injury Attorney’s and Mike Lombardi Gives Back, Desmarais Plumbing and Heating, Corey Franco of C Corp and Focused Investments, Dr. Joseph Lancellotti of Rhode Island Chiropractic Pain Clinic, Dr. Luis Manzolillo of Manzolillo Chiropractic Clinic, L&M Property Solutions, Distinctive Window Designs, Dr. Lanni of Lanni Chiropractic, Councilman Chris Paplauskas and Dr. David LaCharite of Knightsville Chiropractic.
