God has dominion

To the Editor:

Regarding your July 15 editorial on climate change, you write: “This is what the advancing state of manmade climate change looks like … wildfires, hurricanes, droughts, unrelenting rainfall and other abnormal weather patterns will continue to increase in frequency unless serious action is taken at high levels of government – not just in the United States, but across the developed and undeveloped world.”

You make two false assertions: 1.) That the apparent increased abnormal weather events are “abnormal” – these events have been with us since the beginning of time. 2.) That these “abnormal” weather patterns are “manmade.” There is no science that can determine future events and there is no way to test if your assertion is true. In times past, insurance companies would be exempt from claims if the damage was due to an Act of God and that was correct. God has dominion over the weather and climate, not puny man (Luke 4:37-41).

Current RIDEM documents claim that the there were glaciers covering Rhode Island thousands of years ago and they melted. Were the indigenous people burning too many campfires?

What is evident to all readers is that the Beacon has merged with the radical, progressive Democratic Party of Bernie Sanders, John Kerry and Sheldon Whitehouse. These very, very sick persons are determined to demonize the fossil fuel industry and Bernie wants to criminalize the individuals that steer the companies which produce coal, gas and oil.

The Beacon editorial doesn’t mention the solution except to say that “serious action” by government must be taken, meaning massive government intervention that will destroy the free market and empower government to shut down these industries. We don’t trust these two dimensional, humorless dwarfs of the Democratic Party who will use “manmade” climate change to destroy our liberties and transform the USA into totalitarian Marxist country. Bernie Sanders went to the USSR on his honeymoon and he is no friend of the USA.

God is our shelter and refuge in the storm and in Him do we trust.
